With easy activities that kids (and parents) can enjoy together, there’s one less thing to worry about these Easter school holidays. We asked Alana Seeto-Wu from @tribeofwuwu to share some budget-friendly crafts to get the whole family into the Easter spirit.
1. Easter Rock Eggs
This activity is colourful, low cost and most importantly; keeps kids entertained. Kids can use a brush to paint or even pour the paint over the rocks for a thicker coat! Glitter works great with these too.
You can find painting rocks nearly anywhere too! For paint and glitter, stop by Vivid Dollar or Kmart.
2. Easter baskets
Baskets made from paper cups are another easy, affordable Easter craft that’s practical too. Kids can use their personalised baskets for Easter egg hunts, and then around the house afterwards.
Decorate with glitter, paint, crayons, markers, paper, wooden sticks, buttons, pom poms or anything else you like! Check out Vivid Dollar or Kmart for craft supplies.
3. Easter Bunny plates
For younger children, Easter Bunny plates are a great activity to let their imaginations run wild. Depending on your child’s age, this can be a simple colouring activity, or you can use scissors, glue and pipe cleaners to transform these plates into personalised bunny rabbits! You can find plain paper plates at Vivid Dollar, Kmart or Coles to decorate.
Happy crafting, and wishing you and your family a great Easter weekend.
