What’s your name?

My name is Apexa, and my husband's name is Ashish. We are the franchisees of your local Bakers Delight at Nepean Village. When I'm not at work, I like to spend time with my family, socialise, and go out! In my downtime, you'll often find me watching movies with my family.

What’s your day-to-day like?

In my day-to-day work routine, after spending time with my daughter in the morning and sending her to school, I come to the bakery. I focus on serving customers as it helps me stay connected with the local community.

I enjoy baking the fresh food every day, we bake everything fresh in the morning the best thing about the business is none of the food is wasted.

Do you provide do anything unique for its customers?

Whatever is left over at the end of the day goes to the farmers. Basically, the famers take all the remaining loafs or breads to feed their cattle.

What do you enjoy most about working here?

We chose Nepean Village because it's a single-storey shopping centre with plenty of parking. I don't think you'll be asking for anything more than what you have here! There was one customer I was speaking to who bought a whole loaf for a new recipe, and she came back later and shared the recipe with me! The community here really cares for each other. The people around here are so lovely.

What’s so special about this centre and the community?

When we first opened our business in 2021, it was a challenging time when lockdown started. However, the centre management team has been incredibly helpful, constantly working hard to bring in customers and give back to the community.

I'm not going to leave this area until someone kicks me out!
